STOP! You're worth it! |
"By stopping bullies"
"I wont bully" "Not bully and stop it" "Stop bullying when I see it" "I will not bully and help the bullied" "I am not going to bully" "Not bullying people and to always be nice to people" "To not bully people or watch someone getting bullied" "I'm going to talk to others" "Help other in need" "Stick up for people" "If any of my friends or someone else is upset, I will talk to them." "I'm not going to bully. And I'm going to tell someone if I want to commit suicide." "Don't commit suicide and help friends" "You should never let anybody you know think about suicide" "Try to look out for people who want to commit suicide and talk to them" "If I see someone thinking about killing yourself, then I should tell someone about it" "Don't commit suicide because there is always someone there" "I will try to help people become aware of bullying" "Teach it to my cousin about suicide and bullying" "To help people and talk to people about why you should not commit suicide" "That bullying and suicide are never the answer" Bullying and suicide are never the answer. Bullying and suicide are never the answer. Bullying and suicide are never the answer. Bullying and suicide are never the answer. Bullying and suicide are never the answer. Those were some answers that kids gave us when they were asked what they were going to do about suicide and bullying (after us teaching them for four days). The bigger ones were some of my favorites because they talked about raising more awareness. The biggest one (and the one I echoed) I liked because that was the main point that we tried to get across to the kids. Overall, that's what they'll do, but what will you do? |
What We DoWe do and will do anything we can to stop suicide and raise awareness. We are creating skits on what to do to if you know someone thinking about suicide and why you shouldn’t commit suicide. We will also be hanging posters. We are making lesson plans to teach to students at our school. You will be able to find skits, our rap, and posters on the website. We are here to raise awareness and to help people realize how bad suicide really is.

How We're DifferentOur website is different because we don’t just have information and statistics on suicide, but we put ourselves out there to raise suicide awareness. We act out different suicide situations to show (in exaggeration sometimes) what to do. We explain awareness games and lessons that we are teaching to kids in our school. Also, on our website we’ll tell our own experiences with teen suicide. As a teen, we’ve been through many things and we are going through things right now. We can give up our time to talk to kids who are going through issues at home and at school.

How We Got StartedIt all started with one project. A project to change the world (our project was teen suicide). For the first time at our school we were given no instruction, no rules to follow, no guidelines. So, we started brainstorming: skits, posters, lessons, whatever came to our minds. At first, we didn't care. How were a few eighth graders supposed to change the world? The more we thought about it, the more we cared. The more we worked, the more we cared. Soon enough, we realized that we may not be able to change the world with one big step. But step by step anything is possible.
